Lauren Santo Domingo is the daughter of Ronald and Judy Davis, a Poland Spring executive and artist, and grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut. She attended Kent School and the University of Southern California where she earned a Bachelors in Arts (History) and was a member of the Pi Phi sorority.
One of the world’s most recognized stye authorities, Lauren Santo Domingo (nee Davis) married Andres Santo Domingo in 2008 in a lavish ceremony in Cartagena, Columbia. Her dress was fashioned from 60 meters of silk jacquard woven with peony blooms, its coat embroidered with tinsel paillettes, vintage lace, silver threads, and tufts of clipped white feathers and took 1,200 hours to make.
Lauren is an accomplished businesswoman, an editor at fashion magazine Vogue she works closely with Anna Wintour. She is also one of the co-founders of Moda Operandi. Moda Operandi is a revolutionary online retailer where you can “pre-order tomorrow’s fashion today” by you can shop collections from renowned fashion designers before those fashions even touch the stores. Lauren also served as PR director for Paris-based furrier J.Mendel and led the PR department of Carolina Herrera for the Puig Group.
Lauren Santo Domingo has been named as potentially filling the role of Mrs. Astor in New York society by New York Magazine author Chris Rovzar, as she has “likely hosted, chaired, or sponsored” every high-profile charity event in New York. To name a few, she has served on the board of the opening of “Schiaparelli & Prada: Impossible Conversations” exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the New York gala to benefit DKMS, and events to benefit the Art Production Fund. She has also co-chaired the Frick’s Young Fellows Ball, and has served on the New Yorkers for Children galas committee.
Lauren and Andres Santo Domingo live in a Gramercy area townhouse with their son, Nicolas and second child.
